Even Obama Can’t Beat ‘Law & Order’ Ratings
An interview with President Obama helped lift NBC in Tuesday’s ratings, but the night’s most-watched show arrived an hour later with the season finale of “Law & Order: SVU.” According to Nielsen’s estimates, the first segment of NBC’s two-part special, “Inside the Obama White House,” drew 9.1 million and won its 9 o’clock slot. At 10 p.m. a twisty “Law & Order: SVU” garnered 11.3 million viewers. NBC placed second in total viewers, trailing behind CBS and its repeats of “NCIS” (11.1 million) and “The Mentalist” (10.8 million). Fox ranked third, while ABC was fourth.
